They will fly from Dublin to Bari in the heel of Italy and spend the first three nights at the shrine of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo. This is a very special year as it is the 50th anniversary of the death of Padre Pio and the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the stigmata, the wounds of Christ, on his body. The group will then drive to Sorrento, visiting the lovely town of Pietrelcina on the way. Padre Pio was born here and the whole town is filled with places associated with him. The last four nights will be spent in the famous resort of Sorrento. Perched on a clifftop, the town has unrivalled views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. From here the group will do a boat trip along the spectacular Amalfi Coast to the colourful town of Positano. The return flight is from the nearby airport of Naples to Dublin.
