PLAY & PRAY: will recommence in February. It offers a worthwhile experience to children, engaging them happily in activities that enable them to grow spiritually and in confidence. Volunteers are needed. Can you give 30 minutes of your time on an occasional Sunday? If so, please contact the parish office. Thanking you, the Pastoral Council.

KILLALOE DIOCESE PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:  Bishop Fintan Monahan will lead the 62nd Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes from Shannon Airport on Tuesday 26th June returning on Sunday 1st July. €695: full board for online booking at: Special section for sick or assisted pilgrims: at a reduced price.  Full details from Fr Tom Ryan Pilgrimage Director:  061-364133.

KILMIHIL G.A.A./PARISH LOTTO:   There was no Jackpot winner last week. Numbers: 9, 11, 24 & 28.  Next week’s jackpot will be €10,600. The draw will take place Sunday 21st January at the Crossroad’s bar. 

KILMIHIL G.A.A.:  Minor A.G.M. will take place in Kilmihil Community Centre on Sunday 21st January at 4pm.   We would ask all members and potential members to attend as it is crucial for the overall development of our club. 

COMMUNITY GAMES: Art & Handwriting will take place on Thursday 25th January at Kilmihil National School.  Handwriting – U10/U12/U14 at 6pm. Art U6 to U16 at 6.30pm.  €2: to enter each event.  Details: on FB (Kilmihil Athletic Club).

 KILMIHIL TIDY TOWNS; Dog Owners:  Dog fouling has become a very serious problem in the village over the last number of months. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets in public areas, but unfortunately some ignore their responsibilities. Dog fouling has very negative health implications so it is important that we all work together to try and get this message across to people.   

KILMIHIL BRANCH LIBRARY:  will be open each Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm and Friday from 11am to 5pm, starting Tuesday 16th January, over the coming weeks. Telephone: 065-9050528.    

 KILMIHIL ACTIVE RETIREMENT: HELPERS  URGENTLY REQUIRED :Unfortunately our numbers of people for helping with the senior citizens on a Friday morning are getting low, in order to maintain this wonderful service we require new volunteers. You would only be required for one Friday every 5-6 weeks - please consider helping out to maintain this fantastic service! Please contact Ann Duggan 087 2909995 for more info.

TEA DANCE IN KILMIHIL:   in the Meadow, on Sunday 28th January from 3pm to 6pm. All welcome. Music: Sean Hogan.   

 ZUMBA CLASSES:   starting Tuesday the 23rd January at 7:45pm in Kilmihil Community Centre. Come join the party, bring your friends burn up to 850calories & have fun. All welcome.

CRAFT SESSION IN KILRUSH: would you like to make your own patchwork cushion cover, if so, you are welcome to join our craft session on Thursday, January 25th from 10 to 12.30 at the Community Centre Kilrush.  There are limited places so book early.  For more information and to book your place call West Clare Family Resource Centre on 065 9052173.

MIGRAINE:  You are cordially invited to attend our 'Managing your Migraine' public information seminar in Ennis, Co.Clare on the evening of the 24th January.  This FREE seminar will help people living with migraine learn more about the condition and understand how to better manage and minimise their migraine attacks .The programme will include a presentation from one of Ireland’s leading migraine experts, Ethna Mitten, Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Cork Migraine Clinic. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and meet other migraine sufferers. You will also learn more about the work of The Migraine Association and be able to speak to our staff in attendance on the night.         Topics covered include:  What is a migraine? What triggers migraines and how to understand and identify your triggers.  Most common and effective acute and preventative medications for migraine.  Effective treatments and complementary therapies for migraines .  Can lifestyle and dietary adaptations help minimise your migraine attacks? The seminar takes place in the Hotel Woodstock, Ennis, Co.
