IN MEMORY OF LOVED ONES: Our 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday 17th December will be celebrated in memory of family members, from within and outside of our parish, who have died during the year. As a Christian community we have entrusted our loved ones to God, but they will be very much in our thoughts and hearts this Christmas. The Pastoral Council would like to put together a pictorial tribute in memory of loved ones who passed during the year. If you wish to have someone remembered at this mass, and over Christmas, please drop his or her photo into the sacristy or parish office letter box a.s.a.p. and kindly note the name and date of death on the back. It will be helpful also if you include your own name and contact number for return of photos.

KILMIHIL G.A.A./PARISH LOTTO: there was no Jackpot winner last week. Numbers: 1, 12, 18 & 28. Next week’s jackpot will be €15,000. Reserve Jackpot €8,600. The draw will take place Sunday 12th November at D. Breen’s.

KILMIHIL G.A.A. CLUB: Kilmihil play St. Senan’s in Newcastle West on this Sunday 12th November at 2pm in the Munster Intermediate Football Championship Semi-Final. All support appreciated. Save the date: Kilmihil GAA Club will host a Dinner Dance on Saturday 13th January, more details to follow shortly.
SINGING NIGHT AT BREEN’S (KIRK’S) PUB: on Friday 17th November – first song at 10pm. All welcome.

KILMIHIL ACTIVE RETIREMENT: GAMBLE: in the Meadow Centre Tuesday nights at 8pm. All are welcome.
FAMILY STORE KILRUSH: coming to the Meadow on Friday morning 17th November at 10:30 a.m. open to everybody. FRIDAY MORNINGS: 10am to 1pm – open to everyone – just pop in for a cuppa.

KILMIHIL BRANCH LIBRARY: will be closed on Friday, 24th November and will reopen at 2pm on Tuesday, 28th November.
CREE SUNDAY AFTERNOON: Tea Dance West Clare Family Resource Centre’s monthly Tea Dance will take place in Cree Community Hall, on Sunday19th November. For a great afternoon of music and dance join us to the music of Patrick Roche from 3pm to 6pm. All ages welcome.

A CONCERT ON THE CANTICLE OF CREATURES OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI: A FREE “CONCERT OF THANKSGIVING” will take place in the Franciscan Church, Ennis, on Thursday, November 16th at 7.00pm. The Franciscans have commissioned a new composition of the Canticle of St. Francis of Assisi. The Canticle inspired Pope Francis’ encyclical ‘Laudato si.’. The composer is Vincent Kennedy and the concert will be performed by Vincent and Marina Cassidy (harp, trumpet and vocals). All are welcome.

CANCER CARE WEST AND GALWAY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL ARE HOLDING A SERIES OF PROSTATE CANCER INFORMATION AND SUPPORT SESSIONS: The next support session is scheduled to occur on the 15th of November from 7pm to 9pm at Cancer Care West, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway. This support session will focus on “adjusting to living with prostate cancer” If men and their partners would like to attend this event they can book a place by contacting Rachael Dalton Clinical nurse specialist on 091893318 or Cancer Care West on 091540040.

ARE YOU OR DO YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THAT IS 100 YEARS OLD OR MORE? We are currently examining the health of Irish centenarians and so if you were born 1918 or before or know of someone who fits the bill please get in touch!
