2015 A.G.M held on 23rd February

The KCD was formed to promote the physical infrastructure, cultural, social and economic life of Kilmihil parish.  KCD has engaged with many organisations and groups over the years to further its aims, including a village renewal scheme partnership with Clare County Council when Main Street was redeveloped years ago.

KCD is the sponsor of a Community Employment Scheme in the parish which has been running for over 20 years.  Many of KCD's aims regarding the physical infrastructure of the parish are achieved through the use of this scheme.  It has developed and maintained facilities at Knockalough Lake and worked in co-operation with Clare County Council to enhance many of the approach roads to the village- by rebuilding walls and installing footpaths.

In past years KCD has created a graveyard register detailing the position of the graves in the old graveyard as well as the development and maintenance of the other graveyards in the parish.

Currently KCD has commenced erecting townland signs at the boundaries of townlands and is also engaged in the process of developing places of historical interest in the parish – such as the Fairgreen and the mass rock in Clonigulane.  This year KCD has engaged in the total revamping and renewal of this website, under the stewardship of Anne Nolan and Jacqueline McGrath.

At the recent A.G.M in February it was decided to commence the process of creating a historical map of the parish.
